Prime minister Narendra Modi launched a new online portal www.mygov. nic.in, that will provide citizens to help toward good governance and to volunteer for specific projects or task.
PM Modi said new portal MyGov is a technology-driven medium that will provide citizens an opportunity to contribute towards good governance, during launch this portal, Prime Minister said in the past 60 days, the experience of his government was that there were many people who wanted to contribute towards nation-building and devote their time and energy, an official statement said.
Citizens can register on this new portal to intract and suggest key challenges facing the country, some of the best suggestin and key ideas will directly reach the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During this launch Modi said, empower citizens to contribute towards “”surajya” or good governance. Modi added that the new portal provides an opportunity for them to showcase their contributions.
The government is also working on a smartphone application for mygov.nic.in, which will help citizens to take picutres from smartphone and upload on the portal directory
Communications and IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, Cabinet Secretary Ajit Seth, DEITY Secretary RS Sharma were also present at the launch of the portal.
This new portal will implement and manage by National Informatics Centre (NIC) of the Department of Electronics and Information Technology
