Do you ever find yourself deep in someone’s Facebook photos and wonder how you got there? The internet is an awesome tool but some sites can suck you in and waste tons of time that could be spent doing something productive.

For those who can’t help themselves, there are extensions for Chrome and FireFox that allow you to specify a certain amount of time to allow to spend on time-waster websites per day.

Every minute you spend on the sites you specify is tracked, and when you reach the limit those sites are no longer able to be accessed.

Below are a few tips to help you rid yourself of those nasty procrastination habits that prevent you from getting things done.

MAKE A PLAN AND WRITE IT DOWN

We’re more likely to complete things when we physically write things down. Being able to literally cross something off your list helps in giving you a desire to complete something

Therefore, if you’ve got a plan to do something, just write it down and create daily goals. Then, once you complete them one by one, cross them out!

TIME MANAGEMENT

Adults need to weave time management into their lives. Whether it be because of work, duties, life, etc., it’s important to not let yourself get distracted. Avoid Distractions & Interruptions, and Limit Time-Wasting Activities.

And use your time in doing something productive or with your family and friends.

HAVE A PARTNER

Things are just easier with a partner. If you have someone there to help you in your daily goals then it’ll be a lot easier in the long pull. Therefore, try and get a friend who will be by your side through it all. Perhaps even someone who also wants to kick their procrastination habits.
